One District principal finds it more necessary than ever for community members to provide safe passages for school kids in light of deadly violent incidents on Metro.
Dr. Marco Clark kicked off the first citywide Man the Block on Monday with a press conference on Freedom Plaza in Northwest.
“Enough is enough,” said Clark, founder and CEO of Richard Wright Public Charter School for Journalism and Media Arts. “We had two murders at the Deanwood Metro station, a 7-year-old in Congress Heights killed and just last week a man was shot escorting kids off the bus.”
